SSRA have arranged for one of this year's coaching courses to be held in Forthill Squash Club. They need at least 6 people to take the course in order for it to run. In fact for logistical reasons it will probably need to be limited to 6 - I will explain why later on.
With that in mind we need to find out who is interested in taking the course.
The DDSRA committee have discussed the idea of offering funding towards the costs for DDSRA and SSRA affiliated players, but this is yet to be confirmed, probably something to discuss at the AGM. For now, please assume the course will be largely funded by SSRA Scholarship and/or DDSRA, so the cost to the candidate will be kept to a minimum and should not discourage anyone at this stage.
We will also need to know how many coaches we have and what level they are qualified to, as we will need to coordinate with them in order for candidates to complete their training, as they must run 4 lessons witnessed by a qualified coach. Hence the imitation to 6 candidates for now, otherwise there won't be enough qulified coaches to witness their lesson delivery. Currently I know of:
Mark Beaumont (Level 3+?) Duncan Zuill (Level 2)
If anyone knows of anyone else who is UKCC qualified to at least level 1, please let me know either here or by email.
Thanks.
